Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards and bank transfers. All prices are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
3. Rental Duration
The standard rental period is 7 days. Extensions may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional charges.
3.1 Extension Fees
If the Customer requires an extension, they must notify the Provider before the rental period ends. Additional fees will apply based on the duration of the extension.
4. Placement and Use of the Skip
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the place where the skip is placed is safe and accessible. The skip must be located on stable ground and should not obstruct traffic or cause any inconvenience to neighbors.
4.1 Prohibited Locations
Skips must not be placed:
- On public pavements or roads.
- In front of highways or public buildings.
- In areas subject to flooding.
5. Types of Waste Allowed
The Customer may dispose of the following types of waste in the skip:
- General household waste.
- Construction debris.
- Garden waste.
Note: Certain items are prohibited and must not be disposed of in the skip. These include:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals).
- Electrical appliances.
- Medical waste.
5.1 Hazardous Waste
Disposing of hazardous waste is strictly forbidden. Any attempt to dispose of such materials will result in immediate termination of the lease agreement and potential legal action.
6. Responsibilities of the Customer
By renting a skip, the Customer agrees to adhere to the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring the skip is used solely for the intended purpose.
- Not exceeding the maximum load capacity of the skip.
- Keeping the area around the skip clear of obstructions.
Failure to comply may result in additional charges or termination of the service.
6.1 Maximum Load
Each skip has a specific load capacity, which is clearly indicated at the time of booking. Overloading the skip can lead to increased fees and safety hazards.
7. Payment and Fees
All fees must be paid according to the agreed schedule. Late payments may incur additional charges.
7.1 Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring any penalties. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total rental cost.
8. Liability and Insurance
The Provider is not liable for any damage or loss resulting from the improper use of the skip. Customers are advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage for their waste disposal activities.
8.1 Damage to Property
Customers are responsible for any damage caused to property where the skip is placed. This includes damage to driveways, pavements, and landscaping.
9. Termination of Service
The Provider reserves the right to terminate the skip hire agreement if the Customer breaches any of the Terms and Conditions. In such cases, the Customer will be responsible for removing the skip immediately and may be charged additional fees.
9.1 Grounds for Termination
Service may be terminated without notice if the Customer:
- Disposes of prohibited waste.
- Misuses the skip.
- Fails to make agreed payments.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from the use of our skip hire services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
10.1 Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the Customer should first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the Provider. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be escalated to an appropriate mediation service.
